PortalArchive collects only the information needed to run the portal: account credentials for authorized users, guestbook messages, comments, submitted archive links, and poll votes.

Poll voting uses the request IP address to prevent duplicate votes. Public contributions such as comments, guestbook entries, and submitted links are displayed to visitors until removed by an authorized user.

Session cookies are used for login state. Secrets and database contents remain local to the deployed instance.
